Decode da Code is the fastest way to decode binary newsgroup postings on the Mac. It handles the MIME Base64 and uuencode formats. It can parse multi-part MIME mail messages including the AppleDouble format, segmented uuencoded files spread across multiple postings, and parse the long filenames that Windows users like to give MP3 files into a folder structure.
Decode da Code was designed as a helper application for Internet News applications such as NewsWatcher, to extract binary files. Decode da Code runs quickly and silently without ever coming to the foreground, so you can continue working without interruptions. It can use Internet Config to set the appropriate file type and creator codes, and to post-process the decoded file. You can set preferences for deleting original files, handling long filenames, and error notification.

Shareware License
Decode da Code is shareware with a 30-day trial, which means that you can use it on a trial basis for thirty days. The days don't have to be continuous, so if you don't use it on certain days, those days don't count against you. Once those thirty days are used up, you should register and pay for Decode da Code. Registration is US$12 and can be done over the Internet on the Felt Tip Software Web site <http://www.felttip.com/register/>, or offline using the Register application.
There will be occasional reminders to register Decode da Code after the trial period is over. By registering, you will receive a license code which will make those reminders go away.
The Decode da Code license is valid for all future versions of Decode da Code, so you will be registered for versions 1.x, 2.x, and up. The license won't be valid for other Felt Tip Software products, only for Decode da Code.
